Volunteer

Why is important to fulfill and LOG your volunteer hours:

Our school depends on parents' help to offer all extra activities we currently have. Our teachers also love to have help in the classrooms, and it is great for the kids to have their parents involved. Parent involvement is one of the most important factors in your child's academic success.

Volunteer hours also gives us extra points when applying for different grants that bring money to keep the excellence of our school. So please do volunteer and log your hours. And remember that if you go over 80, you can carry those hours into the next school year. Donations also count toward your volunteering hours, $10 = 1 hour.

Sign up to the committees you would like to volunteer for. You will get first pick on the volunteer opportunities.

Excel Academy Staff Hospitality Host 2016-2017

This is such a great way to say "THANK-YOU" for all that our wonderful staff at Excel Academy does for us each and every day. As the staff hospitality host for the week, you get to decide how you would like to treat our staff with food items of your choice. You can provide full meals each and every day of your week, a meal one day and snacks the rest of the week, or snacks each day. The possibilities are endless and completely up to you. Please remember that your week includes bringing in food each day.

One of the best parts of being the staff hospitality host is that you also EARN VOLUNTEER HOURS! Yes, for every $10 you spend on your food items, you log 1 HOUR of volunteer time. If you are cooking then please remember to include the time that it takes you to prepare the dish.

The snacks/meals will be set up in our teacher's lounge each morning. Please feel free to drop the items off at the front office before school starts (school starts at 8:20am) or if your items need prep time then please feel free to sign in and let the wonderful front office know where you will be going.

Parent-Teacher conferences happen twice a year at Excel. During those long, busy (and sometimes challenging) days, the PTO provides their meals so teachers can have the most flexible times to meet with parents. It is also a way to show our appreciation of the teachers and staff, who work hard to make the school the best environment for our kids.
