Laps for Learning

Laps for Learning is an all-school event, in which every child participates! Each lab will run/walk for a designated time allotment during school hours. Our purpose is to promote health and wellness, while raising money that will go directly to the classroom by purchasing new educational tools and classroom materials. A portion of the funds will also go toward our first-ever Excel Academy Community Garden.
The boy and girl with the most laps from each classroom will be invited to an Ice Cream Sundae party. The homeroom having the most laps/student ratio will win the coveted “traveling trophy.” Finally, our fundraising prizes for this year are as follows:

1st place: Two (2) season passes to Water World (or winner’s choice)

2nd place: Two (2) season passes to Elitch Gardens

3rd place: Two (2) day passes to Boondocks

In addition, if you bring a business/organization that donates to the “Laps for Learning” cause, those contributions will be applied towards your child’s fundraising total. The business will be featured on the 2017 Laps for Learning banner for a minimum donation of $100, advertised throughout the day during the race, and included in the Excel PTO business directory. Please contact Jessica Girvan at girvanjess@gmail.com or 303-589-5539 to make a business donation. Business logos need to be in “vector art” format and be turned in by April 19, 2017.

Remember, any money (including business donations) collected for Laps for Learning can be applied towards volunteer hours ($10=1 hour).

Thanks in advance for your support of Excel Academy, and LET’S RACE!
